FAQ

Styles of Positive Balance Yoga

We teach a Hatha style Yoga which is nourishing for the body mind and soul! Classes include Vinyasa, Slow Flow and Yin style. Pranayama (breathwork) and Meditation are all important parts of our Positive Balance Yoga Teachings.

Vinyasa is a flow based practice which will include movement and breath.

Yin is a slow class, where poses are held for longer periods for deeper relaxation and muscular release.

Slow Flow is a combination of both styles.

Beginners Yoga Class

Our ten-week Beginners course is designed for the absolute Beginner. Here we will safely guide you through a comprehensive 10 week Hatha class giving you an overview to a Hatha style Yoga Practice.

If you miss a Tuesday night Beginner class, then we recommend the Slow Flow or Yin as a makeup (just turn up and tell the teacher you’re a beginner), and the Vinyasa class once you’re nearer the end of your course.

All of our classes are designed to help you Move Better, Sleep Better and Stress less!

What do I need to bring?

What time are the classes?

Please be on time – Doors open 15 minutes prior to class start and check in with your Teacher.

If your class is the 7pm class, then please wait quietly in the hallway until the previous class is finished

Where do I park?

There is plenty of parking at the rear entrance of St Johns Church. Please don’t park on the street so we keep our neighbours happy!

What if my body changes?

Please let the teacher know of any injuries, medical conditions or pregnancy, which will help our teacher know how to keep you safe, and make sure you get the best out of your class too!

We can often still work around an injury in class, you just need to let us know so we can adjust you and you don’t miss out on your practice.
